The Four Rules of Firearm Safety
Always handle every firearm as though it is loaded, regardless of what you believe its condition to be. No exceptions, ever.
Never allow the muzzle to point at anything you are not prepared and willing to destroy. Control your muzzle at all times.
Keep your trigger finger straight and outside the trigger guard until your sights are on your target and you have made the decision to shoot.
Always be certain of your target and what lies beyond it. You are responsible for every round you fire from the moment it leaves the muzzle.
